City Blessing Church (CBC) is a non-denominational New Testament church, known for its spirit of worship, Holy Spirit anointing, Biblical teaching and preaching, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and the warm Christian love. CBC believes that the church is called to be a family and not just an organization. Therefore, the church creates a friendly atmosphere in order to promote genuine relationships with one another. The leadership at CBC is based on a team ministry. CBC believes that every member is called to minister in the local body of Christ.
City Blessing Church began with several revival meetings in the winter of 1991 with two people in attendance. By the grace of God the church started a congregation in Harlem at Hosanna City Church for six months. In 1992, the Lord moved City Blessing from its Harlem location to the heart of the Indonesian community in Elmhurst, Queens.
In 1996, CBC purchased a 4,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Elmhurst and transformed it into a beautiful church facility. In 2002, the Lord expanded the church's vision to reach all people from different race, culture, and background in the community.
In the year of 2005, the Lord entrusted CBC to move to a bigger facility of 13,200 sq. ft., located at 61st Street in Woodside. The area, surrounded by residential apartments and houses which consist of a majority of immigrants, particularly the Chinese, Korean, Indonesian, Filipino, Indian, Irish, and Latin American, is the ideal location to reach the community and serve their unmet needs.
